Fast content or long-lasting content? It determines everything.
Fast content
This is content that goes online today and disappears in the feed tomorrow — social posts, teasers, short updates.
Do you have the time and motivation to film and edit yourself? Then go for it. Smartphones deliver incredibly good image quality nowadays, and online you’ll find endless tutorials.
But… we all struggle with the same challenge: time.
If you prefer focusing on your own expertise instead of diving into camera settings and editing, then it’s smarter to bring in someone who can take that burden off your shoulders.
At DB Video, we offer affordable packages for these kinds of projects. Do you already have footage? We’re happy to edit it for you.
Long-lasting content
These are videos you’ll use for years: corporate films, commercials, tutorials, hero content for your website.
For this type of video, you don’t want coincidence. You want quality, consistency, and a look & feel that aligns with who you are as a company.
And that’s exactly where we guide our clients: from sharpening the objective to translating their ideas into a strong video concept.
A good video is made in three phases.
1. Pre-production — the phase where everything starts
Most people want to start filming right away. But just like you don’t build a house without a plan, you don’t create a strong video without a thoughtful script or scenario.
We start from your idea and translate it into visual language:
Who do you want to reach?
What should the viewer feel or do?
Which images reinforce your message?
The better this phase is prepared, the smoother the shoot and edit will go — and the more efficient the investment.
2. Production — the shooting day
We often work with several experts at once: camera, lighting, audio, directing… all with highly specific skills.
A shooting day typically lasts 10 hours including travel, which is why it’s smart to plan extra content during that day. If everything is already set up, why not also record:
one or more testimonials
an employee interview
stock footage of your office or product
short social snippets
It makes your shoot more cost-efficient and gives you more value.
3. Post-production — where the magic comes together
Editing, music, color grading, titles, animation…
This is the moment when everything falls into place.
To work efficiently, it’s important that one person makes the final decisions.
Everyone has an opinion on colors, sounds and visuals, and when too many people want their say, you end up in endless revision rounds.
In our workflow, one revision round is included as standard. The faster and clearer decisions are made, the better for the end result and the budget.
Timeline & retroplanning
— the silent gamechanger
This aspect is often underestimated, but it makes a world of difference.
A video process needs space.
Pre-production, production and post-production must seamlessly connect without blocking each other.
That’s why we need to know in advance:
What is your absolute deadline?
When do you need the first version?
How many revision rounds are required?
Is the video linked to an event, campaign or launch?
Based on this information, we create a retroplanning, calculating step by step backwards from the final date.
Why is this so important?
Because in pre-production we take the time to sharpen everything:
script, locations, planning, people, styling, messaging…
The more time between pre-production and production, the stronger and more efficient the result.
Tight deadlines are possible — as long as we know. But when there’s space, we always get more out of your video.
A good video doesn’t have to be expensive — it has to be purposeful
Video content is tailor-made.
Not every video requires a crew of ten people, but every video does deserve conscious thinking about:
the objective
the lifespan
the target audience
the desired impact
the correct timeline
We guide companies through this process every day. From sharpening their briefing to creating a video concept that works — efficient, creative and achievable within the right budget.
